People with disabilities have been part of social movements for a very long time.

This is a great example of why everyone, but especially disabled people, need more opportunities to learn about disability history. I didn’t know about her!

I’d read her name. But NONE of the essays about ~historical feminism~ that I read? MENTIONED SHE WAS DISABLED. There MIGHT have been a mention of her trike, but not that it was a mobility device for her. Her disability had been completely ignored.
